Review of Convex's progressive development

In 2001, clinical supervision of the day centers was done under the same moniker as supervision of the sheltered workshops for mentally challenged people. Persons having an intellectual handicap went there and were, after all, perceived by everyone, as clients receiving services, whether it be a socio-sanitary issue or a vocational issue.

In attempting to individualize our approaches in normalizing social roles, we slowly realized that both entities were becoming more and more polarized. Interventions with people attending the day centers were revealed as social support, whereas we tried to replicate real work environment within the sheltered workshops.

The word ''Groupe'' refers to the importance for our organization, to work collaboratively among the network with and in partnership with other community and economic development agents of our region and beyond.
